(3) Range Shift Lever (Hi-Lo)
Range shift is available when the
tractor is stopped completely and the
clutchisdepressed.Ifitisdifcultto
shift the range shift lever, observe the
following procedures.
1. Always place the range shift lever in
neutral position.
2. Release the clutch pedal.
3. Depress the speed control pedal
gently to allow the gears inside the
transmission to turn.
4. Depress the clutch pedal and move
the range shift lever.
The tractor can stop due to in-
creased load on the axle when
the range shift gear is in high
speed position or the engine
is running at low rpm. If this
happens, move the range shift
gear to low speed position or
increase the engine rpm.

CAUTION
Depress the clutch pedal and
stop the tractor before you
move the range shift lever to
prevent transmission damage.

IMPORTANT
(4) Creep Lever
How to use the creep lever.
Forward 8 and reverse 8 will be ap-
plied when the shift lever is pulled
to H and forward 16 and reverse 16
(creep speed) will be applied when
pushed to L.
Care must be taken to the follow-
ing instructions as improper use or
mishandling of the creep speed may
cause failure in the tractor.
