4.13 Electrical equipment
4.13.1 Alternator
The alternator is fitted with integral silicon rectifiers. A transistorized regulator mounted on the alternator
body interior limits the alternator voltage. The alternator should not be operated except with the regulator
and battery connected in circuit to avoid damage to the rectfier and regulator.
The alternator is maintenance-free, nevertheless, it must
be protected against dust and, above all, against moisture
and water.
Operate the alternator according to the instructions given
in the chapter.
