What to do if the KKT Chiller plant/system is malfunctioning?
    • M
      Mike PattersonAug 5, 2025
If the KKT Chiller plant/system malfunctions, begin by checking the mains connection and asymmetry relay 5A1. Then, inspect sensor 9B1, the clamp feeler, and measure its resistance. Also, check the MMC-Card, the power supply 24VDC 7U1, and fuses 7F1 and 7F2. Finally, verify fuse 28F1 and the data transfer cable, and check the overvoltage protection. These issues may arise from power failure asymmetry, over or low voltage, a defective temperature sensor, SIMATIC malfunction, or a chiller power supply issue.

What to do if KKT Chiller pump 21M1 is malfunctioning?
    • B
      ballenAug 18, 2025
If pump 21M1 malfunctions on your KKT Chiller, first ensure that the main switch 5Q1 is switched on and the control switch 14S1 is set to 'AUTO'. Replace main fuse 21Q1 if it's defective, and also check and replace the fuse for the control current if necessary. If the pump motor 5M1 is defective, replace it. Verify water flow if the flow switch 11B1 has responded, and check the system pressure and clean the strainer if there's a shortage of water. These malfunctions could be due to the main switch being off, the control switch not in 'AUTO' mode, a defective main fuse, a defective control current fuse, a defective pump motor, a flow switch response, or a water shortage.
