8. Care and maintenance
The increased humidity in sauna operation will not damage the wood in your cabin.
You must however air the cabin well and keep to the subsequent drying phase.
Never spray the interior cabin walls, the bench or seating facility with water or high-pressure cleaner!
Wipe the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth.
Soiled benches
Depending on use, grind the tops of the benches with fine sandpaper at least once a year if the sauna is
operated weekly.
In case of heavy or deep soiling wash down the benches with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution
(available from chemists/specialist stores).
Disinfecting agents are highly corrosive!
You must therefore observe current safety regulations!
Use household rubber gloves!
The cabin’s exterior walls are varnished or proofed.
Do not varnish, paint or proof the inner lining of the sauna as well as the interior
appointments (benches etc.) under any circumstances. Treated surfaces release
poisonous vapours during sauna operation.
