CHAPTER 2: SPECIFICATIONS
This chapter includes the physical and performance specifications for the main
components of the Series 3000 Sonar System.
2.1 Sonar System
Sonar channels: 4
Sonar frequencies: 100 kHz nominal (132 kHz, ±1% actual)
500 kHz nominal (445 kHz, ±1% actual)
Transmission pulse: Toneburst, operator selectable from 25 to
400 µs; independent pulse controls for
each frequency
Maximum range: Up to 450 meters per side at 100 kHz and
150 meters per side at 500 kHz (actual
range varies with environmental
conditions and operating frequency)
Horizontal beam width: 1 at 100 kHz; 0.2 at 500 kHz
Vertical beam width: 40
Tilt angles: -5 to -25; -15 is the default
Swath width: 900 m maximum at 100 kHz; 300 m
maximum at 500 kHz
Depth limit: 1500 m standard; 3000 m and 6000 m
optional
Operating temperature: -10–25C (14–77F)
