Stamped Steel Valve Covers with RTV Sealant
 1. Removethefourhexangescrews,orTorx
screwssecuringeachvalvecover.
NOTE: Thevalvecoverissealedtothecylinderhead
usingRTVsiliconesealant.Whenremoving
valvecover,usecarenottodamagethe
gasketsurfacesofthecoverandcylinder
head.TobreaktheRTVseal,holdablockof
woodagainstoneoftheatfacesofthevalve
cover.Strikethewoodrmlywithamallet.
Ifthesealdoesn'tbreaklooseaer1or2
aempts,repeattheprocedureontheother
side.
Remove Cylinder Heads
 2. Loosentherockerarmpivotscrews,orinner
setscrews(T25TORX)basedondesign,andback
otherockerarmadjustingnuts.SeeFigure8-27.
 3. Markthelocationofthepushrodsaseither
intakeorexhaustandcylinder1or2.Pushrods
shouldalwaysbeinstalledinthesamepositions.
