Governor Compensator - K662:
On certain K662 electric welder applications, a compensator is used
in combination with the governor to provide better regulation under the rapidly changing load conditions
common to this type of equipment.
Briefly, this device places a slight tension on the throttle rod to
stabilize governor control with sudden change in load.
The compensator spring is adjusted with engine
running
at high speed (3000 RPM).
To adjust, turn hex nuts in proper direction until there is just
enough tension on the spring so that it floats without any end play.
Lock nuts after readjustment is
made.
