Preparing the Unit for Window Installation
Attaching the Top Channel and Side Curtains
Make sure to attach the top channel and side curtains prior to installing the cabinet into the
window.
1. Locate the top channel, top channel seal, and 4 type A [shorter] screws.
2. Tear off the adhesive cover on the back of the adhesive seal, align it at the bottom edge
of the top channel, and guide the seal along the bottom edge to fix it to the top channel.
3. Place the top channel on top of the air conditioner cabinet, lining up the four holes in the
top channel with the four holes on top of the cabinet.
4. Using the four supplied Type A screws, attach the top channel to the air conditioner
cabinet.
5. To attach the side curtains to the air conditioner, start by sticking one of the adhesive side
curtain sealing strips on the left side of the “Left” side curtain and one strip on the right
side of the “Right” side curtain.
NOTE: When selecting the window into which you will install the air conditioner, make sure power
the power supply cord is within 4 feet of a grounded 3-prong outlet.
