Why is my KTM 990 SMT Motorcycle engine overheating?

If your KTM Motorcycle engine overheats, it could be due to several reasons. It might be caused by too little coolant in the cooling system, so check for leaks. Dirty radiator fins can also cause overheating, so clean them. Other potential causes include foam formation in the cooling system (drain the coolant), a buckled or damaged radiator hose (change the hose), a blown fuse 4 (change the fuses), a defective thermostat (check the thermostat), a defect in the radiator fan system (check the fan system), or air in the cooling system (fill/bleed the system).
