Ground pressure
The mowing unit suspension is obtained by a hydro-
pneumatic accumulator. In modifying the accumulator's
pressure, the mowing unit's cushioning varies.
The hydro-pneumatic accumulator system also operates
the "safety breakback " function.
In case an obstacle is struck:
- The suspension pressure increases in order to
decrease the ground pressure.
- The mowing unit can pivot up to 25° to the rear.
- Once the obstacle is passed, the mowing unit
automatically regains its initial position.
To check the ground pressure:
- Place the machine in working position.
- Check that the chassis height is correct:
H=400mm(2’).
- Check the pressure given on the gauge:
• NORMAL operating pressure = 105 bar (1520 psi).
• MINIMUM operating pressure = 95 bar (1380 psi).
• MAXIMUM operating pressure =
120 bar (1740 psi).
- The pressure must be adapted to the nature and
moisture level of the ground.
The ground pressure adjustment determins the
safety breakback adjustment:
- Example: when the pressure in the gauges
increases, the mowing unit ground
pressure decreases and the breakback
force increases.
In case an obstacle has been struck, check
that the mowing unit has not been damaged.
Never adjust machine to a pressure not
comprized between these limit values.
