 Securing elements
- Check the condition of the securing elements
regularly and also the torque of the knife-fixing
bolt:
• Torque: 12 daNm (89 lbf ft).
- Check the securing elements:
• After hitting an obstacle.
• When replacing knives.
• At the beginning of each season.
- The fixing bolts should be changed in the following
cases:
• When there is visible distortion.
• When the locking compound is worn or
inoperational.
• When the bolt head wear reaches the center line
of the bolt.
• When diameter D of the bolt's body is below 11
mm (0.43’’).
• After having been removed 5 times.
- Replace nuts in the following cases:
• When the contact washer has lost its elasticity.
• When the contact washer loosens itself from the
nut.
• When the nut wear reaches a = 5 mm (0.2’’).
• After having been removed 5 times.
