Play Order
ThisparameterdeterminestheorderinwhichthePC3playsarpeggiatednotes.Playedcauses
themtoplaybackinthechronologicalorderinwhichyouplayedandlatchedthem.Upwards
meansthatnotesplayinascendingpitchorder,regardlessoftheirchronologicalorder.
Downwardsmeansdescendingpitch
order.UpDowncausesnotestoplayfromlowestpitchto
highest,thenfromhighestpitchtolowest,repeatingthecycleuntilyoustopthearpeggiation.
Thenotesattheverytopandverybottomonly playonce.UpDownRepeatissimilarto
UpDown,exceptthatthenotesatthetop
andbottomplaytwice(repeat)whentheArpeggiator
reversesdirection.
Randomplaysthecurrentlylatchednotesincompletelyrandomorder.Shuffleplaysthemat
random,butkeepstrackofthenotessothatnonoterepeatsuntilalloftheothershaveplayed.
Walkisa“randomwalkorder:eachsuccessive
noteiseitherthenextorpreviousnote(in
chronologicalorder).Forexample,supposeyou’velatchedfournotes—G 4,B4,D5,andF5
inthatorder.ThefirstnotetheArpeggiatorplaysistheG4.ThesecondnotewillbeeitherB4
(thenextnotechronologically),orF5(the“previous”notechronologically—that
is,thelast
latchednote).IfthesecondnoteisB4,thethirdnotewillbeeitherD5orG4.Ifthesecondnote
isF5,thethirdnotewillbeeitherG4orD5.
SimultaneousmakestheArpeggiatorlatcheachnoteyouplayandrepeatitintimewiththe
Tempovalue,sortoflikeadigitaldelaywithnodecay.IfyouplayaCandholditwhileyouplay
anEandaG,theArpeggiatorwillplayallthreenotesatthesametimeandatthesametempo.
SimultaneousalsoworkswellwithShiftandLimit,
allowingyoutoshiftmultiplenotes
simultaneously.
Duration
Durationdetermineshowlongeacharpeggiatednoteplays.100%meansthatanotesustains
untilthenextonesounds—verylegato.50%meansthatthenotefillshalfthespacebetween
itselfandthenextnote.Thelowestvalueis1%stacattissimo.Thisparameter
hasnoeffecton
percussionsoundsorothersoundswhosedurationisfixed.
Velocity
Velocitysetstheattackvelocityoftheplayednotes.WithVelocitysettoFirst,allnotesplayat
thevelocityofthefirstplayednote.WithVelocitysettoPlayed,eachnoterepeatswiththesame
velocityyouplayeditat.WithVelocitysettoLast,allnotesplayatthevelocityofthemost
recentlyplayednote.WithVelocitysettoAftertouch,thevelocitiesare controlledbykey board
pressure:asyouholdandpushdownonanykey,thevelocitiesgethigher,andasyou
easeup
theygetlower.
WithVelocitysettoMIDI109,MIDIcontroller109continuallysetsthearpeggiatorvelocity.This
workswellwhenMIDIcontroller109issettoaknoborexpressionpedal.
WithVelocitysettoFixed,allnotesplaywiththesamevelocity.ThedefaultFixedvelocity
