2 MECHANICAL SAFETY
2.1 Maximum configurations
The ARCS
®
WIDE/FOCUS rigging system complies with 2006/42/EC: Machinery Directive. It has been designed
following the guidelines of BGV-C1.
2006/42/EC: Machinery Directive specifies a safety factor of 4:1 against the rupture for flown deployments. The limits
for flown deployments specified in the tables below correspond to a safety factor of 5:1 or higher.
The limits for stacked deployments correspond to safety factor of 1.8:1 or higher.
Refer to SOUNDVISION for the safety factor of a specific deployment.
The safe configurations are always compliant with the standards listed before, regardless of the chosen deployment
parameters (site angles, inter-enclosure angles, etc.).
The maximum configurations correspond to the mechanical limit of the rigging accessories, before deploying these
configurations always model the system in SOUNDVISION and check the Mechanical Data section for any stress
warning or stability warning.
For mixed arrays always refer to your SOUNDVISION model.

Mechanical safety of the rigging system
Before any installation, always model the system in SOUNDVISION and check the Mechanical Data
section for any stress warning or stability warning.
