Select the Program tab to display the Program window.a.
Click on the Icon Mode button to open the Icon program editing panel.b.
Below the menu bar and animation toolbar of the Program window, note that a tab button is displayed,
containing the letters “P0”, for the newly created program.
Below the program tab “P0” is a list of command icons, and the program editing section where the
program commands will be entered. Slowly mouse over these icons and become familiar with their
names.
Enter the program shown by following these steps:2.
In the Program window, observe that line 001 of the editing section is highlighted, prompting you a.
to insert a command. Click on the HOME icon which inserts a HOME command on that line.
Line 002 of the editing section is now highlighted. Click on the SPEED icon, and enter ‘80’ (high b.
speed) in the eld next to the SPEED = command.
In line 003, click on the MOVETO icon and set to ‘B’ the eld next to the MOVETO = command.c.
In line 004, insert the GRIP command and leave its eld as is, that is, with the arrows pointing d.
outward (open gripper).
In line 005, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘20’ (approach speed) into its eld.e.
In line 006, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘A.’f.
In line 007, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘80’ (high speed) into its eld.g.
In line 008, insert the GRIP command and select the inward-pointing arrows option (close h.
gripper).
In line 009, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘B.’i.
In line 010, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘C.’j.
In line 011, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘20’ (approach speed) into its eld.k.
In line 012, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘D.’l.
In line 013, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘C.’m.
In line 014, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘80’ (high speed) into its eld.n.
In line 015, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘B.’o.
In line 016, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘20’ (approach speed) into its eld.p.
In line 017, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘A.’q.
In line 018, insert the SPEED command and enter ‘80’ (high speed) into its eld.r.
In line 019, insert the GRIP command and leave its eld as is (open gripper).s.
In line 020, insert the MOVETO command and set its eld to ‘B.’t.
