5.3 Mower Deck Leveling Adjustment
The mowing decks come leveled from the Lastec factory. Should the decks require reset-
ting during the course of maintenance, an eccentric cam in the ball joint of the deck pivot
assemblies can be adjusted to level the decks.
Decks 1 and 3 attach to the deck cross tube by sliding pivot ball joints that can be
adjusted by setting the cam position of the deck adjustment cam.
1. Loosen the central bolt that goes through the ball joint.
2. Pull out the bushing containing the deck adjustment cam.
3. Position the deck adjustment cam to level the deck.
4. Replace the deck adjustment cam with bushing. Note that a weldment block prevents
the hex head on the deck adjustment cam from rotating.
5. Tighten the central bolt and check for proper level height.
