3.2 Mounting The Articulator To The Tractor
DANGER!
Before attempting to mount the Articulator to the tractor, ensure the PTO is disen-
gaged, then engine is off, the parking break set, and the transmission is in neutral.
The Model 721/521XR Articulator can be mounted to most tractors which have a category
1 three-point hitch. Follow the procedures listed below to properly mount the Articulator to
the tractor:
1. Park the tractor on level ground. Lower the 3-point hitch.
2. Turn off the tractor, disengage the PTO, shift the transmission into neutral, and set the
parking brake. Remove the key from the ignition.
3. Mount the Articulator pull arms to the lower arms of the 3-point hitch. Slide the Articulator
lift pins into the ball swivels on the three-point hitch arms. Secure with lynch pins.
4. Adjust the tractor sway bars. Eliminate any side-to-side motion.
5. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor.
