2 LINKAGE TO THE TRACTOR
The headstock is fitted with double linkage pins (category II). This
allows the mower to be attached to the tractor with more or less
offset (fig. 3).
In most conditions, position c is recommended for coupling.
Always use position d when mowing down a descending slope so
that you can operate as far from the side as possible.
- Attachment position should be so selected that the first mowing
disc is entirely offset from the track of the tractor tyre.
- Fit the lower arms to the linkage pins of the machine’s headstock.
- Fit the tractor top link to the machine.
- Lift the headstock to such an extent that the pivot pin of the main
shaft (fig. 4) are approx. 52 cm above ground level.
Check if the mower headstock remains level width-wise. If
necessary, adjust the adjustment of the tractor lever arms.
This adjustment of the tractor’s 3 point hitch is essential to
achieve optimum ground following of the mower.
- Place the parking jack in the raised position.
- Secure the tractor’s lower arms by means of stabilisation chains
or rods eliminating any sideways movements.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the minimum
and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves
*
.
- Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part of the
tractor.
- Connect the hydraulic hose to a single acting hydraulic tractor
valve.
Maximum allowed oil pressure: 21.0 MPa (210 bar).
- Place the end of the control cord for locking the ram in the tractor
cab.
*. Consult the instruction supplied with the PTO shaft
