If the machine does not follow the ground contours effectively, or if
it tends to dig into the ground, the machines ground pressure should
be adjusted (see § 4.2).
Should the machine hit an obstacle during mowing, it can move
backward thanks to the extension of the breakback device (fig. 11).
- The yoke on the R/H lift arm (A, fig. 11) returns automatically
after a minor obstacle has been passed.
- Lift the mower up to the headland position to ensure that the L/H
yoke (B) is returned to the starting position. The ram, which is
integrated in the break back device, will then push the yoke back
automatically.
The machine is protected against overload by either a slip clutch or
a shear bolt clutch.
- Replace a broken shear bolt of the shear blot clutch by a bolt
M8x40 - 8.8 Din 933.
- If the machine needs to be placed in the transport position at the
end of its operation: wait until all moving parts have come to a
standstill.
When folding up a machine with rotating parts, serious
damage may be incurred by the PTO shaft.
Please also be referred to chapter 3 “Transport”.
6 DISMOUNTING FROM THE TRACTOR
Always place the machine on hard, even ground.
- Lower the mower.
- Lower the tractor hydraulics until the abutment pins of the ram are
positioned in the hooks of the locking device (fig. 12).
In doing so, pull the control cord of the locking hook to position
the hooks in line with the abutment pins.
- Place the parking jack in the bottom position.
- Lower the tractor hydraulics further until the parking jack rests on
the ground.
- Switch off the tractor engine. Disengage the PTO shaft from the
tractor PTO.
- Place the PTO shaft in the parking chain (fig. 13).
- Depressurize the hydraulic system and disconnect the hydraulic
hose.
- Place the dust cap on the plugsand hang the plug to the support on
the headstock.
- Remove the control cord for the locking hook from the tractor
cab.
- Disengage the top link from the machine.
- Disconnect the lower arms from the machine.
