The Heliodor 8 / 8 K is equipped with two rows of curved and notched hollow discs, arranged separately on the frame via an intermediate frame. These hollow discs are responsible for loosening and mixing the soil. The implement also features rollers that ensure reconsolidation and additional crumbling of the soil. During operation, these rollers bear the weight of the implement when it is lowered for work and ensure exact depth guiding. The weight of the rollers can also support the implement's feed behavior. Different roller types can be fitted to the implement. Levelling tines are included to lightly level the soil and any existing growth.
For enhanced functionality, the implement can be equipped with various accessories. The Heliodor 8/200 and 8/250 models are available with drawbars L2/Z2 or L2/Z3, while the Heliodor 8/300, 8/350, and 8/400 models offer drawbars L2/Z3 or L3/Z3. The Heliodor 8 K is also available with drawbar L3/Z4. The drawbars comply with ISO 730 standard categories (Category 2, 3N, 3, or 4N depending on the model). The three-point tower, with its upper link pin and drawbar, connects the implement to the tractor's three-point linkage.

The tractor's power output and drawbar dimensions must comply with ISO 730-1. For instance, a 92 kW (125 HP) tractor requires a Category 2 drawbar with a 28 mm pintle diameter and 825 mm shoulder distance. A 350 kW (476 HP) tractor requires a Category 4N drawbar with a 50.8 mm pintle diameter and 965 mm shoulder distance.
The operating instructions emphasize safe and efficient use. The working depth of the implement can be adjusted from 3 cm to 10 cm using guide pins. The working depth must be adjusted separately for the left and right sides. The position of the top link and drawbar significantly influences the pressure load on the rollers, affecting penetration characteristics and lift height. The hydraulic system of the tractor must be switched to "position control" for transport and "float position" or "mixed control" for work assignments.
Lateral draw, if noticeable, can be eliminated by adjusting the top link length. Edge limiters prevent the outer hollow discs from leaving grooves or raising ridges and can be adjusted laterally and for angular position.
For public highway transport, the implement must have a proper lighting system, identification, and protective devices. The transport width must not exceed 3 m and transport height 4 m. Side sections of the Heliodor 8 K can be retracted and extended hydraulically, while outer hollow discs on all models can be manually retracted for transport. Track markers, when combined with a seed drill, can be adjusted for penetration depth and folded in for public road transport. Wheelmark eradicators can be relocated and their working depth adjusted.
