Youcanshareyourtablet’smobiledataconnectionwithasinglecomputerthroughWi-Fitethering.You
alsocanshareyourInternetconnectionwithmultipledevicesatthesametimebysettingyourtabletasa
mobilehotspot.
SharingyourInternetconnectionbyturningyourtabletintoamobilehotspot
ToshareyourInternetconnectionbyturningyourtabletintoamobilehotspot,dothefollowing:
1.FromtheStartscreen,tapLenovoSettings➙MobileHotspot.
2.IntheSetuphotspotsection,choosethenetworktoshare,createanameandapasswordforyour
mobilehotspot,andthenselectasecurityoption.
3.TapStartSharingtoturnyourtabletintoamobilehotspot.Thenotheruserscanconnecttoyour
networkbyenteringthecorrectmobilehotspotnameandpassword.
4.IntheManageUserssection,youcanviewuserswhoareconnectedtoyournetworkinthedrop-down
listbox.
SharingyourInternetconnectionusingNFC
NFCisawirelesstechnologythatenablesyoutoestablishradiocommunicationbetweentwodevicesby
touchingthemtogetherorbringingthemintocloseproximity,usuallynomorethanafewcentimeters.
IfyourtabletisNFC-enabled,toinviteandconnectanotherNFC-enableddevicetoyourhotspot,dothe
following:
1.FromtheStartscreen,tapLenovoSettings➙MobileHotspot.
2.IntheEnableNFCsection,slidetotherighttoenableNFC.
3.Turnyourtabletintoamobilehotspot.Formoreinformation,see“SharingyourInternetconnectionby
turningyourtabletintoamobilehotspot”onpage28
.
4.Bringthetwodevicesintoverycloseproximityortouchthemtogether.
5.IfyouwanttodirecttheinvitedusertoaWebsiteaddresswhentheuserisconnectedtoyourhotspot,
locatetheTaptoSharesection,selectthecheckboxnexttotheWebsiteaddressfield,andfillina
Websiteaddressintothefield.
Note:TheinviteduserwillbedirectedtothedefinedWebsiteaddresswhentheuserisconnected
toyourhotspot.
6.IntheT aptoSharesection,taptheinvitationmessagetosendaninvitationnotificationtotheuser
youwanttoinvite.
Note:Theinvitedusermusttaptheinvitationnotificationpromptwithinoneminutetoconnecttoyour
hotspot.Otherwise,youhavetotaptheinvitationmessagetosendtheinvitationnotificationagain.
