InstallingthedriverforIntelManagementEngineInterface
ToinstallthedriverforIntelManagementEngineInterface(MEI),dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverforIntelManagementEngineInterfacefromtheLenovoWebsitetoaUSBstorage
device.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvariousservermodelsarealwaysavailableonthe
LenovoWebsiteat:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers
2.Double-clicktheEXEfiletounzipittoafolderandthenconnecttheUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
3.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
e:
cd/MEI
Pnputil–i–a*.inf
Note:Inthecommandlines,e:representsthedriveletterofyourUSBstoragedeviceand/MEI
representsthenameofthefolderwherethedriverisstored.
4.Restartyourserveraftertheinstallationiscompleted.
InstallingtheCitrixXenServerhypervisor
Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallthefollowinghypervisors:
•CitrixXenServer6.0.2hypervisor
•CitrixXenServer6.1hypervisor
ToinstalltheCitrixXenServerhypervisor,dothefollowing:
1.Inserttheinstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartupdevice.Then,
starttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.Whenthe“CitrixXenServerinstallationwelcome”windowisdisplayed,pressEnter.
3.Selecttheappropriatekeyboardforthesystem,selectOK,andthenpressEnter.
4.WhentheCitrixXenServersetupwindowisdisplayed,selectOKandthenpressEnter.
5.ReadtheEndUserLicenseAgreement,selectAcceptEULA,andthenpressEnter.
Note:IftheActionToPerformwindowisdisplayed,configurethesettingsasyouneed.SelectOK
andthenpressEnter.
6.Selecttheharddiskdrivethatyouwanttouseforvirtualmachinestorage.SelectOK,andthenpress
Enter.
7.Selecttheinstallationsourceasyouneed.SelectOK,andthenpressEnter.
8.SelectYeswhenpromptedtoinstallthesupplementalpacksandthenpressEnter.
9.Dependingonyourneeds,selectVerifyinstallationsourcetocheckalltheinstallationmediaorselect
Skipverificationtoskipthecheck.ThenselectOKandpressEnter.
10.Setyourpassword,selectOK,andthenpressEnter.
11.Dependingonyourneeds,selectanEthernetadapter,selectOK,andthenpressEnter.
12.ConfiguretheIPinformationasyouneed.SelectOKandpressEnter.
13.Inthe“HostnameandDNSConfiguration”window,configurethesettingsasyouneed.Thenselect
OKandpressEnter.
14.Specifyyourtimezonebyselectingthenearestcityinyourtimezone.SelectOK,andthenpressEnter.
