IfyouremovetheTR300Key,theonboardSASsoftwareRAID5willbedisabled.
UseanydocumentationthatcomeswiththeTR300Keyandfollowthoseinstructionsinadditionto
theinstructionsinthistopic.
Dependingonthemodel,yourservermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationinthistopic.
Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.
ToremovetheTR300Key,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage75.
4.LocatetheiButtonsocketonthesystemboard.See“Systemboardcomponents”onpage38.Ifthereis
anyPCIExpresscardinstalledontherisercardassembly1,itmightblockyouraccesstotheiButton
socketonthesystemboard.Inthiscase,youneedtoremovethecoolingshroudandthencarefullylift
therisercardassembly1upsothatyoucanaccesstheiButtonsocket.Youdonotneedtodisconnect
anycablesfromthePCIExpresscardorcompletelyremovetherisercardassembly1.
