ThistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtostarttheThinkServerEasyStartupprogram.Afteryoustartthe
programandenterthemaininterface,clickUserGuidefordetailedinformationabouthowtousethis
programtohelpyouconfiguretheserverandinstallanoperatingsystem.
TostarttheThinkServerEasyStartupprogram,dothefollowing:
1.InserttheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDintoanopticaldrive,settheopticaldriveasthefirststartup
device,andstartyourserverfromtheDVDintheopticaldrive.See“Selectingastartupdevice”on
page64
.
2.Waitfortheprogramtoload.Then,youwillbepromptedforthefollowingselections:
•Thelanguageinwhichyouwanttoviewtheprogram
•Thelanguageofthekeyboardlayoutyouwillbeusingwiththeprogram

3.Afterselectingthelanguageandkeyboardlayout,clickOK.Then,youwillseeoneormorereminders
ormessagesaboutconfiguringstoragedevices.ClickNextuntilyouarepresentedwiththeLenovo
LicenseAgreement.ReadtheLenovoLicenseAgreementcarefully.Inordertocontinue,youmust
acceptthetermsbyclickingAgree.Then,theDateandtimewindowopens.
4.SetthecurrentdateandtimeandclickOK.TheStartoptionwindowopens.
