localcursorismovingaheadofthehostcursor,pressthe-keytosyncitup.
6.Adjustthesyncusingthe+or-key,untilyouachievethemaximumsyncpossible.Agoodindicator
ofthatsettingisthatthemousemovementswitchesfromlaggingtoleadingorvice-versawhenthe
mostoptimalvalueiscrossed.
7.Toensurethatbothcursorsareinsync,waituntiltheyreachthebottomofthescreenandarestillinsync.
8.Onceinsync,pressALT+Atostopaccelerationcalibrationandsavethecurrentaccelerationsettings.
9.Nowwhenaccelerationsyncisdone,startmousethresholdcalibrationbyselectingCalibrateMouse
ThresholdmenuitemorpressingALT+T.
10.Thebehaviorissameasinmouseaccelerationcase.Oncestarted,youwillseetwomousecursors
movingdiagonallyacrossthescreen(startingat0,0location).Thelocalmousecursorisdisplayedin
REDcolortodifferentiatebetweenthetwomousecursors.
11.Dependinguponthedifferenceinthresholdsettingsonbothends,mousecursorsmayeventually
gooutofsync.
12.Pressthe+or-keytochangethethresholdsettings.
13.Ifthelocalmousecursorislaggingbehindthehostcursor,pressthe+keytotrytobeinsync.Ifthe
localcursorismovingaheadofthehostcursor,pressthe-keytosynchitup.
14.Adjustthesyncusingthe+or-key,untilyouachievethemaximumsyncpossible.Agoodindicator
ofthatsettingisthatthemousemovementswitchesfromlaggingtoleadingorvice-versawhenthe
mostoptimalvalueiscrossed.
15.Toensurethatbothcursorsareinsync,waituntiltheyreachthebottomofthescreenandarestillinsync.
16.Onceinsync,pressALT+Ttostopthresholdcalibrationandsavethecurrentthresholdsettings.Atthis
point,bothlocalandtheremotemousecursorsshouldbeinsynchronization.
Note:Oncetheaccelerationcalibrationispreformed,youmustcalibratethresholdsettingsforthemouseto
beinsync.

UsingtheOptionsmenu,youcandothefollowing:
•Bandwidth:Changingthebandwidthsettingaffectslow-levelconnectionprotocolparameterslike
fragmentsizeandtimeouts.Ifyouexperienceperformanceproblemswhenoperatingoveraslow
connectionsuchasamodem,thebandwidthsettingmayneedtobeadjusted.UsetheAutoDetect
optiontondthecorrectsettingforyourconnection.
•Keyboard/MouseEncryption:KeyboardandMousedataarenormallyencryptedbeforebeingsentover
theconnection,butthiscanbedisabledforasmallperformanceincrease.

Thismenuoptionallowsstarting/stoppingremotemediaredirection.Thersttwooptionsallowyouto
redirecteitheralocalCDROM/DVDdriveorelseanISOimageonyourlocalclientlesystemasavirtual
CDROMdeviceontheremotesystem.Thelasttwooptionsallowyoutoredirecteitheralocaloppydrive,
alocalUSBkeydrive,oraoppy.imgleasavirtualoppydeviceontheremotesystem.
