(assumingtheyarenotread-only),andbooted.Thepairofvirtualdevicesonlyappearontheremote
operatingsystemorBIOSsetupmenuswhensomemediaredirectionisactive.Thevirtualdevicespersist
acrossremotesystemresetsandpowerup/downs.Theydonotdisappearfromtheremotesystemuntilthe
checkboxesareuncheckedintheRemoteConsolewindow.
Notethatthevirtualdevicesarenotlimitedtonormaloppy/CDROMsizesandwillbeaslargeasthe
deviceorlebeingredirected.AUSBKeydriveisredirectedasavirtualoppydeviceratherthanaUSB
devicetoallowtheloadingofcustomdevicedriversduringremoteoperatingsysteminstallationwhichmay
requireaoppydrive.
ThereisonlyonevirtualCDROMandonevirtualoppydeviceontheremotesystemallowedsoonlyone
localitemofeachtypecanberedirectedatatime.OnlyoneRemoteConsolewindowcanbedoingmedia
redirectionatanygiventime.
