•Installingorremovingjumpers:Ajumperisasmallplasticencasedconductorthatslipsovertwo
jumperpins.Somejumpershaveasmalltabontopthatyoucangripwithyourngertipsorwithapairof
neneedlenosedpliers.Ifyourjumpersdonothavesuchatab,takecarewhenusingneedlenosed
plierstoremoveorinstallajumper;gripthenarrowsidesofthejumperwiththepliers,neverthewide
sides.Grippingthewidesidescandamagethecontactsinsidethejumper,causingintermittentproblems
withthefunctioncontrolledbythatjumper.Takecaretogripwith,butnotsqueeze,thepliersorother
toolsyouusetoremoveajumper,oryoumaybendorbreakthepinsontheboard.
