Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter7“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage81.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft
insideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage11forthelocationsofvariouscomponents
inyourcomputer.
2.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.Toreinstallthefrontbezel,alignthethreetabson
thefrontbezelwiththecorrespondingholesinthechassisandpivotthefrontbezelinwardsuntil
itsnapsintoposition.
3.Ensurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectlybeforereinstallingthecomputercover.Keepcablesclearof
thehingesandsidesofthecomputerchassistoavoidinterferencewithclosingthecomputercover.
4.Lowertheopticaldrivebay.
5.Closethecomputercover.
6.Ifthereisanintegratedcablelockavailable,lockthecomputer.See“Attachinganintegratedcable
lock”onpage28.
7.Reconnecttheexternalcablesandpowercordstothecomputer.See“Locatingconnectorsontherear
ofyourcomputer”onpage9.
8.Toupdateyourconguration,refertoChapter7“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage81.
