10.2.1 Taring with unknown tare weight
If the weight of the container is not known, in order to tare the scale:
If the scale is already in NET mode (NET annunciator ON)
1. Press the key > in order to cancel the existing tare and return to gross mode.
The scale is in GROSS mode
2. Place the empty container on the scale, wait for the display to stabilize and press the key
> in order to measure the new tare
3. The weight display is reset to zero and the NET annunciator is turned ON
4. Remove the empty container. The weight displayed is the tare with a negative sign.
5. Proceed with the weighing.
To return to the GROSS weighing mode, press the key > again. The indicator will show then
the gross weight, i.e. the total weight of the item plus the weight of its container.
10.2.2 Taring with known tare weight
If the weight of the container is known, the scale can be tared by the manual entry of this known
weight. Similarly, the weight of the container will be subtracted from the total weight measured by
the scale and the NET weight will be acquired.
In order to tare the scale:
If the scale is already in NET mode (NET annunciator ON)
1. Press the key > in order to cancel the existing tare
The scale is in GROSS mode and displays zero
2. Press the key ~ . Display shows P t A r e and then 0 0 . 0 0 0
3. Type in the weight of the container, using key ~ to increment the flashing digit and key
> to move one digit to the right
4. Press key ( to accept the value
5. The weight displayed is the tare with a negative sign and NET annunciator is turned ON
6. Continue with the weighing procedure
To return to the GROSS weighing mode, press the key > . The indicator will show then the
gross weight, i.e. the total weight of the item plus the weight of its container.
