10.7 Programming the PIN (Personal identification number)
This facility is used in order for the owner of the scale to change the current Personal Identification
Number that enables access to the calibration procedure. The unit is factory set so that the PIN is
not active i.e. 000000)
In order to program the PIN:
1. Enter Function 40
2. Display shows: P i n 1 briefly, then 0 0 0 0 0 0
3. Key in the existing PIN number and press (
4. Display shows: P i n 1, in Pin number was correct, else the unit resets.
5. Key in the new desired PIN and press (
6. Display shows: P i n 2
7. Key in the same Pin for validation and press (
8. If the two entries are not the same, F A I L is displayed briefly and the program returns
with the old pin remaining in memory
CAUTION
Make sure you do not forget the code entered. If the code is lost the unit must be returned to the
factory to initialize the Pin and a fee will be charged.
