Using the fax setup wizard in the printer
Notes:
• This wizard appears only when analog fax is not yet set up.
• This wizard only sets up the analog fax. To setup other fax modes, go to Settings > Fax > Fax Setup.
• Before using the wizard, make sure that the printer firmware is updated. For more information, see
“Updating firmware” on page 44.
1 From the home screen, touch Fax.
2 To uch Set up now.
3 Type the fax name, and then touch Next.
4 Enter the fax number and then touch Done.
Using the Settings menu in the printer

From the home screen, touch Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax settings.
2 Configure the settings.
Using the Embedded Web Server

Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
• View the printer IP address on the home screen. The IP address appears as four sets of numbers
separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.
• If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.
2 Click Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax Settings.
