If a head restraint interferes with a child restraint system
When installing a child restraint system, if a head restraint interferes with the child
restraint system, remove the head restraint or adjust its position.
● Remove the head restraint.
If a head restraint cannot be removed, move it to the uppermost position.
Installing a child restraint system with ISOFIX lower anchorages
Engage the connectors of an ISOFIX compati-
ble child restraint system to the ISOFIX lower
anchorages of the vehicle.
Install the child restraint system according to the
user's manual included with it.
1 Check the positions of the lower anchorages.
2 Install the child restraint system to the seat.
3 Engage the connectors of the child restraint system to the lower anchorages.
4 Install the child restraint system according to the user's manual included with it.
5 Shake the installed child restraint system in all directions.
Make sure that the child restraint system is securely installed.
Using a top tether anchorage
WARNING
Observe the following when installing a child restraint system.
● Make sure that the top strap is not twisted.
● Make sure that the top strap is engaged to the top tether anchorage.
● Make sure that the top strap is securely attached.
● After installing a child restraint system, do not adjust the seat.
● After installing a child restraint system, do not adjust the head restraint.
● Securely install the child restraint system according to the user’s manual of the child
restraint system.
