1.17 Check magnetictype strainer
Items to check Is the magnetictype strainer installed? Result
Purpose Secure ow, protect system
Applicants AWHP SPLIT, Monobloc
Especially to remove metallic particles from foul heating piping, it is recommended to use a magnetic or
cyclone lter, which can remove small particles. Small particles may damage the unit and will NOT be
removed by the standard lter of the heat pump system.
Magnetic strainer is separately available.
Install strainer on the water supply/inlet side for indoor unit.
Observe instructions of manufacturer of magnetic strainer.

1.19 Check air vent valve
Items to check Is air vent valve installed and open at the angled part of water piping? Result
Purpose Remove air from water piping
Applicants AWHP SPLIT, Monobloc
Air vent valve is integrated in the product by default but additional ones may be needed if there are bent
parts when pipings are installed.
Air Vent Valve is a device designed to remove air automatically from the hydronic heat pump system,
such as air remaining in the piping, dissolved air, and air that owed in during installation.
- The air vent valve should be installed at every high point of the system.
- At the beginning and end of the curve
- At the water inlet/outlet pipe of the heat pump and heat exchanger
- At each branch piping connected to the main piping, when connecting multiple heat pumps
