The CB6OBMe is part of the LINAK OpenBus™
product range - that provides more flexible solutions
no matter which actuator concept is preferred.
Is a powerful control box with Switch Mode Power
Supply or traditional transformer solution which is
typically used for applications like hospital beds,
couches/tables for treatment and examination
and other medical applications. The universal
Switch Mode Power Supply makes the control box
adaptable to the worldwide market irrespective of
the input voltage.
Features & Options:
Power supply: SMPS Universal: 270W, 100-240VAC 50/60Hz
Transformer toroidal: 270W, 230VAC 50/60Hz, 120VAC 60Hz
Usage:
Approvals: IEC 60601-1
ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1

Low Power consumption.
Low Power is CB6OBMe with a standby power equal to the standby power loss
in the transformer, typically approx. 2.5W. Exclusive power consumption from
accessories.
To reduce the power consumption, the microcontroller will shut down all circuits
in standby.
If there is no activity for 2 minutes the CB6OBMe will shut down and thereby turn
off the lights in all accessories.
If any accessories or other devices activate Power Request, the CB6OBMe will
wake up again. See the state and transitions diagram of the CB6OBMe.
Mains Operation:
Mains is connected and full operation is possible. If the CB6OBMe is charging the
battery it will stay in this state. All indicators will turn off after 2 minutes, except
the charging indicator.
Mains Low Power:
Mains is connected, but the CB6OBMe is shut down to save as much power as
possible.

Battery Operating:
Mains is disconnected and the CB6OBMe operates on battery. Full operation is possible as long as the battery voltage is above approx. 22V.
Battery Low Power:
Mains is disconnected and the CB6OBMe is shut down to save as much battery power as possible.
The diagram below shows the state and transitions of the CB6OBMe.
Possible combinations
CB6OBMe – with transformer has been approved for CLASS I operation incl. CLASS I cables (with pigtail for earth).
CB6OBMe – with SMPS is not approved for CLASS I operation, basically because of the design of the housing.
However the PCB contains 2 x fuses (phase, neutral) as required for CLASS I operation.
Duty Cycle Guard:
CB6OBMe incl. SMPS comes as default with DCG (Duty Cycle Guard) to protect the system.
It is default set to 1020As, equal to approx. 2 min continuous use at 8A.
