To enter the offs et va lues you require, tap on the 'Change' button and a further screen will appear:
The reference value is the expected tempera ture, and the Stage measured value is the displa yed tempera ture. For example if you have a pure
sa mple tha t ha s a known melting point of 50°C and the displayed tempera ture when the sample melts is 50.3°C, you would enter 50.0 in the
'Reference value' field and 50.3 in the 'Stage measured value' field.
As long as the following rules are observed, any values can be entered - the default tempera tures are guidelines only.

Up to 5 calibra tion points can be applie d a t different temperature ranges .
·
If you do not wish to use a calibration point then lea ve both values the same.
·
The calibra tion points must be in ascending order of temperature
·
The tempera ture ra nges chosen must not overlap
·
The ma ximum offset within any point pa ir is 20°C. If you are experiencing a dis crepa ncy of grea ter than 20°C, plea se contact Linkam technica l
support.
Once the required va lue s have been entered, tap 'Apply' to sa ve them, and tap the 'X' to close this window.
To activate sample ca libration, check the 'Apply sample calibration' check box on the initia l stage setting screen.
When the re is a n active sa mple ca libration, the s ample ca libra tion indica tor on the ma in options ba r will be illuminated.
Note: The sample ca libration values are stored on stage lea d of the currently connected sta ge. Each sta ge lead can have its own set of stored values .
