Troubleshooting
This section provides tips on resolving is sues tha t may arise when using the LinkPa d.
Control and connection Errors
This section describes the various error messages tha t LinkPa d ca n generate when attempting to connect to or control a Linkam sta ge, and what
a cti ons to ta ke to res olve them.
This error occurs when there is a connection broken on the stage temperature s ensor. This error may be caus ed by a sta ge lead cable disconnected
from the sta ge or ma y indicate a broken wire on the stage tempera ture sensor. If the Stage lead is correctly connected, contact Linkam Scientific
technica l support.
This error occurs when the stage type connected requires an additional cable connected to a n expansion boa rd in the T96, but it is disconnected.
Power the unit off and check tha t any additional cables (such as vacuum sensor or DSC sensor cable) a re connected, and that you are us ing the
correct sta ge lead for your sta ge.
This error occurs when the connected stage calls for option boa rds to be fitted into the T96, but the system cannot detect those boards. Check that
you are us ing the correct sta ge lead and T96 control unit.
This error occurs when the T96 is powered on with no stage cable connected to it. Power the unit off a nd make sure your stage lea d is connected to
the T96 controller.
This error occurs when the water tempera ture sensor in your sta ge reaches too high a tempera ture. Check that the water pump is actively pumping
and tha t the water has not become too warm. This error can only occur with peltier stages.
