Setting Up Your Phone
Audio Settings Conguration
The software installation wizard should automatically congure the correct audio settings in
Windows® and Skype™. If however, you would like to manually adjust or verify these settings,
please follow these steps.
For Windows 000 user:
1. With the USB Base Station plugged into the USB port on your PC, click the Start button and select
CONTROL PANEL.
2. Click on Sounds and Multimedia.
3. Select Audio tab from Sounds and Multimedia Properties.
4. Check if your current speaker is selected in both Sound Playback/Sound Recording pulldown box.
5. Check Use Only Preferred Devices checkbox.
6. Press APPLY or OK to save your settings.
For Windows XP user:
1. With the
USB Base Station plugged into the USB port on your PC, click the Start button and select
CONTROL PANEL.
2. Click on Sounds and Audio devices.
3. Select Audio tab from Sounds and Audio Devices.
4. Check if your current speaker is selected in both Sound Playback/Sound Recording pulldown box.
5. Check Use Only Default Devices checkbox.
6. Press APPLY or OK to save your settings.
Using the Handset after installing the software:
1.
If it is not already, plug in the USB base to your computer.
2. The software driver should automatically load whenever
Skype™ is launched. If the USB driver has not started
yet, start the USB driver by double clicking on the
shortcut icon created on your desktop; Skype™ should
automatically start with the driver.
3. The software driver allows the phone to communicate
with Skype™. If you see the following screen, select
“Allow this program to use Skype™” and click OK.
4. Once both Skype™ and the base are detected, your
phone is ready for use. Your current Skype™ online status
should be shown on the phone’s display.
About the USB Driver
Once the USB driver is installed on your PC, it should auto start when you start the PC; a tray icon will be
shown when the USB driver is loaded.
