Guide for troubleshooting for PS2 pump controller
Version: V210126
6. How-to articles
These how-to articles give a quick overview of how the testing procedures need to be done
properly.
6.1. How to connect with the controller using PumpScanner
PumpScanner is available on PartnerNET (www.lorentz.de/psdl). For
further information read the Manual and User Guide of PumpScanner on
PartnerNET (Support PumpScanner). Download PumpScanner on your
Android phone to get access to the pump.
If PumpScanner does not provide access to the controller perform the
following steps to exclude the most common issues:
The System is not registered properly (license list):
PumpScanner is only able to connect to the controller if the serial number of the
controller is listed in the license list (PumpScanner Settings View License List).
Check whether the serial number is listed in the license list
The license list can be updated by tapping “Update License List”; then recheck
the List
The serial number of the controller will only be listed in the license list if the
controller has been registered in “Sites” on PartnerNET. You can register a site
on PartnerNET using PumpScanner. Follow the procedure in Sites new Site to
register a site. Take care that the site has been uploaded properly and that
license list has been updated.
No connection
Close all background apps and turn Bluetooth off and on again
Close and restart PumpScanner
Restart the mobile phone
Try to connect using a different mobile phone
The controller is already connected with another device
The controller is able to connect with one single Bluetooth device at a time. The blue
LED “Local Communication” is ON in case there is already an established Bluetooth
connection to the controller.
Disconnect other mobile phones in the surrounding of the controller which are
connected to the controller
If the controller serial number is listed in the “License List” and the connection with a different
Android device was also not successful, the Main-Board is most likely defective and must be
replaced.
Please note:
To exclude the Android device as the root cause for the connection problem it is recommended
to test whether the device is able to connect to another controller before replacing the Main-
Board of a controller.
