Quick start guide

Card reader

Carefully slide a microSD

into the card reader slot on the

side of the device. To remove the microSD

card, gently pull

the card.

System controls

Press the power key once to view the System Controls dialog.

Physical control keys

A Pages

• Press to activate the home screen.

B Waypoint

• Press to open the new waypoint dialog.

• Press twice to save a waypoint.

• Press and hold to access the nd dialog.

C Arrows

On full screen pages:

• Press to position the cursor.

• Press to pan the image in any direction.

On multi-panel pages:

• Press to select a panel.

On menus:

• Press to navigate.

D Exit

On a maximized, mutli-panel page:

• Press to return to the multi-panel page.

In menus and dialogs:

• Press to return to the previous menu

level and to exit a dialog.

E Enter

On multi-panel pages:

• Press to maximize the current selected

panel.

In menus and dialogs:

• Press to conrm a selection.

F Zoom

• Press to zoom the image.

• Press both keys together to create a

MOB (Crew Overboard) waypoint at

your position.

G Menu

• Press to display the menu on full screen

pages.

H Power

• Press once to display the System

Controls dialog.

• Press and hold to power the unit on /off.

• Repeat short presses to cycle the

backlight brightness.

The Lowrance Eagle® is a multi-function display (MFD) unit designed for marine navigation, sonar, and charting. It is available in multiple sizes and offers a range of features to assist with fishing and boating activities.

The Eagle MFD integrates several key functions:

Charting: Allows users to navigate to waypoints, create routes, and track their current course. It supports various chart sources, including Lowrance, Navionics, and C-MAP, if a chart card is inserted.
Sonar: Displays an image of the water and seafloor beneath the vessel, enabling detection of fish and examination of seafloor structure. It offers different modes like Auto, Custom, and Ice Fishing to optimize sonar settings.
SideScan: Provides wide-coverage, high-detail images of the seabed to the sides of the vessel, requiring a SideScan capable transducer.

Enter (E): Confirms selections in menus and dialogs.

Power (H): Press once to view the System Controls dialog, press and hold to power the unit on/off, and short presses cycle backlight brightness.

Home Screen:

Accessed via the Pages key.
Features Tools (A) for accessing dialogs and browsing stored information.
Displays Application icons (B) for various functions like Chart, Sonar, SideScan, and DownScan.
Includes Customize (C) mode to modify or delete custom pages.

Multi-panel Pages:

Allow simultaneous viewing of multiple applications (e.g., Chart and Sonar).
The active panel is indicated by an orange border.
Arrow keys change active panels, Enter maximizes a panel, and Exit returns to the multi-panel view.
The Adjust splits option in System Controls allows panel size adjustment.

Custom Pages:

Users can create their own custom pages by selecting the Add Page icon.
Existing custom pages can be edited by activating Customize mode.

Settings:

Accessed via the Settings option in the System Controls dialog or on the home screen.
Allows configuration of various parameters, including language, boat settings, navigation, chart, sonar, alarms, units, and advanced options.

Data Overlay:

Can be turned ON or OFF from the System Controls dialog.
The Edit overlay option in System Controls allows users to change the position and information displayed in the data overlay.

MOB Waypoint:

Activated by pressing both zoom keys simultaneously.
Displays navigation information to the MOB waypoint.

Card Reader:

A microSD® card slot is located on the side of the device. Cards are inserted by sliding them gently and removed by pulling.
