Overview

The Lowrance Eagle® is a multi-function display (MFD) unit designed for marine navigation, sonar, and charting. It is available in multiple sizes and offers a range of features to assist with fishing and boating activities.

Function Description

The Eagle MFD integrates several key functions:

  • Charting: Allows users to navigate to waypoints, create routes, and track their current course. It supports various chart sources, including Lowrance, Navionics, and C-MAP, if a chart card is inserted.
  • Sonar: Displays an image of the water and seafloor beneath the vessel, enabling detection of fish and examination of seafloor structure. It offers different modes like Auto, Custom, and Ice Fishing to optimize sonar settings.
  • SideScan: Provides wide-coverage, high-detail images of the seabed to the sides of the vessel, requiring a SideScan capable transducer.
  • DownScan: Delivers detailed images of structure and fish directly below the vessel, requiring a DownScan-capable transducer.
  • Waypoints, Routes, and Trails: Manages saved locations (waypoints), planned paths (routes), and recorded vessel movements (trails).
  • Data Overlay: Displays customizable information, such as speed over ground (SOG), depth, and water temperature, directly on chart and sonar pages.

Important Technical Specifications

While specific technical specifications like screen resolution or processor speed are not detailed in this quick start guide, the manual highlights several operational aspects:

  • Transducer Compatibility: Requires specific transducers for SideScan and DownScan functionalities.
  • Storage: Features a microSD® card reader for data storage, including sonar logs and chart cards.
  • Power: Operates via a power input, with the power key controlling unit on/off and backlight brightness.

Usage Features
