systems. For instance, a 703 area code route via a
tandem PRI pool has an FRL of 1.
Secondary routes using the PSTN have FRLs as high
as 6.
For primary routes serving calls to area codes 410, 703,
and 509, the FRLs are set to low values.
The FRL is higher for primary routes to areas near but not
in the same area code as one of the other private network
systems. For instance, a 301 area code (Maryland) route
via the tandem tie pool has an FRL of 2.
Secondary routes using the PSTN have FRLs as high
as 6.
