Center Spring
Center spring preload has an effect on steering effort, handling and
bump absorption.
Also, since center spring preload adjustment puts mo re or less pres-
sure on the front of the track, it has an effect on the perform ance in
deep snow.
ACTION RESULT
Lighter steering
Increasing
preload
More bump absorp tion capability
Heavier steering
Decreasing
preload
Less bump absorption capability
To adjust, unscrew the locking ring, th en turn the adjustment ring to
set the spring preload.
When the desired preload is set, tighten the locking ring against the
adjustment ring.
