Technical and legal information

> Do not under any circumstances modify the product. Modictions
can result in serious personal injury or death.
> Do not start cutting until you have a clear work area, secure footing,
and a planned retreat path from the falling tree.
> All product servicing & maintenance, other than the items listed in
the user manual, safety and maintenance instructions, should be
performed by an authorised service centre.
> A rst time user should have practical instruction in the use of the
product and protective equipment from an experienced operator.
Clothing and protective equipment
> Do secure long hair so that it is above shoulder level.
> Do not wear loose tting clothing or jewellery as this could be drawn
into the engine, catch the chain or undergrowth.
> Use the following safety clothing and protective equipment when
operating the product:
> Helmet with visor and neck guard - (EN397 compliant),
> Hearing protectors,
> Breathing mask,
> Gloves with approved saw protection (compliant to EN 381-4, EN
381-7, EN420:1, EN 388 Class 0),
> Protective leggings with approved saw protection (compliant to EN
381-5, EN 340 Class 1),
> Steel toe cap boots with approved saw protection (compliant to EN
345-2 Class 2),
> First Aid kit in case of injury.
Fuel handling
> Fuel vapour pressure may build up inside the fuel tank depending
on the fuel used, weather conditions and the tank venting system. To
reduce the risk of burns and other personal injuries, remove the ller
cap carefully to allow any pressure build up to release slowly.
> Fuel and fuel vapour are highly ammable.Take care when handling
fuel and chain oil.
> Be aware of re risks, explosion and inhalation risk.
> Do not smoke while operating the product, handling fuel or near fuel.
> Ensure the spark plug lead is secure, a loose lead may cause
electrical arcing that could ignite combustible fumes and cause a re
or explosion.
> Do always switch off the engine rst before relling the fuel or oil
tanks.
