Cold Start:
> If the engine is cold, pull out the choke lever fully. The choke lever is now
at CLOSE position and throttle is set at fast tickover position (Fig.25).
> Press the primer (9) 6 times until the bubble is lled with fuel (Fig. 26).

> Hold the product securely to the ground and put your foot on the
rear guard (10).
> Pull the handle on the starter cord [23] slowly with your right hand
until you feel a denite resistance and then give it a brisk, strong
pull. Repeat 4 or 5 times consecutively (Fig. 27).
At this stage the engine still should not start.
> Press the choke lever back in (Fig. 27a). The choke lever is now
at OPEN position, and throttle is kept at the fast tickover postion.
> Pull the starter cord slowly with your right hand until you feel a
denite resistance and then give it a brisk, strong pull. Repeat
until the engine starts.
> Squeeze and release the throttle interlock (26) and the throttle
trigger (27) to cancel fast tickover. The engine runs at idle speed.
> Allow the engine to run for 10-15 seconds.
> Before accelerating the engine, make sure the chain brake is
disengaged by pulling back the front guard (2) fully.
> Squeeze the throttle interlock and throttle trigger to accelerate the
