200 GENERAL INFORMATION
OVERHAUL PART
REPLACEMENT
Use genuine MACK parts at all times. Parts that
are typically replaced during an engine overhaul
are listed below:
앫 Gaskets and seals
앫 Bearings and bushings
앫 Pistons (aluminum) and piston rings
앫 Cylinder sleeves
앫 Cylinder block cup plugs and cylinder head
cup plugs
앫 Connecting rod capscrews
Steel top pistons should not be replaced without
first inspecting them for excessive wear or other
damage. Clean, inspect and measure pistons to
determine need for replacement.
