Fan Clearance - Rapid Mount Industrial
WARNING: FANS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE OPERATED IN WINDY CONDITIONS.
The Rapid Mount Industrial should only be used in applications where the total clearance
between the mount and the airfoils is less than 10 feet. Otherwise use a Universal Mount with
guy wires (refer to page 45). The minimum distance of a fan to a wall or similar obstruction
should be no less than 1.5 times the diameter of the fan.

The drop lengths above are minimum recommendations only, based solely on roof pitch and
fan diameter. Other factors, such as allowing for proper airow into the fan must be evaluated
when determining drop length requirements. In addition, MacroAir strongly recommends that
the fan airfoils must be a minimum of 10 feet (3.05 meters) above the oor. Contact Technical
