Adjusting idle speed<QSB 6.7>
Fig. 43: “Adjusting idle speed” rocker switch
1 Increase the idle speed
2 Reduce the idle speed
If the MT is, for instance, used in higher regions, the engine
could possibly not run entirely smooth. To enable the motor
running smooth again, the idle speed can be adjusted to the
local conditions with the rocker switch.
The idle speed is normally between 700 and 750 rpm.
Adjusting the idle speed
Set the MT onto an even surface, activate the parking brake
and let the engine run in idle position with the transmission in
neutral.
X Press the rocker switch upwards.
3 The idle speed increases.
X Press the rocker switch downwards.
3 The idle speed is reduced.
Press the rocker switch up or down until the motor runs
smooth again. However, keep the idle speed between
700 and 800 rpm.
WARNING!
Accident hazard!
In case of too high idle speed the MT drives without
using the gas and can run over persons.
X Never set the idle speed above 800 rpm.
