 ECU connector CONNECTED
 Check the continuity between
pin A and pin B of the
accelerator pedal sensor
connector
Step 2
 Ignition OFF
 Check for any loose
or intermittent
connection of
accelerator pedal
 Clear the error codes
and verify

 Clear the error codes and
verify
 Turn ignition OFF
 Accelerator pedal sensor
connector
DISCONNECTED
 Turn ignition ON
 Measure the voltage
between pin A of the
accelerator pedal connector
and battery negative

 Connect the smart tester
 Turn the ignition ON
 Initialise the diagnostic tool
 Record the DTC and clear
 Turn ignition OFF
 Turn ignition ON
 Verify if P1646 is present?
