 Fuel temperature sensor
connector DISCONNECTED
 ECU connector CONNECTED
 Check the continuity between
pin 2 and pin 1 of the fuel
temperature sensor
 Turn ignition OFF
 Fuel temperature sensor
connector
DISCONNECTED
 ECU connector
CONNECTED
 Turn ignition ON
 Measure the voltage
between pin 1 and battery
negative
Is voltage 3.5 to
6.5V?
 Clear the error codes and
verify
NO

 Ignition OFF
 Examine the short to
ground
 Repair/replace the
wiring harness
 Clear the error codes
and verify
Go to Step 4

 Turn the ignition ON
 Initialize the diagnostic tool
 Record the error codes and clear
 Turn ignition OFF
 Turn ignition ON
 Verify if P0182 or P0183 is
present
