11.6 Additional Controls (as equipped)
Windshield Wipers – A simple ON/OFF toggle switch for
controlling the windshield wipers is located on the dash panel to
the left of the steering wheel.
HVAC System – The control for the Heating, Ventilation, and Air
Conditioning system is located at the bottom of the dash panel
below the instrument cluster.
There are three controls with the left-most being a 4-position dial
for fan speed (OFF, Low, Medium, and High). When Heat is desired,
the middle knob should be pulled out. If Air Conditioning is
desired, the middle knob should be pushed in and the right dial
can be adjusted for desired temperature (clockwise for cooler
temperature).
There are six forward-facing air registers and two bottom-facing
registers located at the bottom of the dash panel on the passenger
side. In addition, there are two defrost registers at the top of the
dash panel, one at the center, and the other on the passenger side.
For the most efficient warmup, it is recommended that all of the
registers remain closed with only the bottom two registers open
until the system is warm. If defogging or defrosting the windshield
is desired, the Air Conditioning must be turned on to de-humidify
the air.
