• Sitting improperly or out of position can cause occupants to
be shifted too close to a deploying airbag, strike the interior
structure or be thrown from the vehicle resulting in serious
injury
• Always sit upright with the seat back in an upright position,
on the seat cushion centre with your seat belt on, legs
comfortably extended and your feet on the floor
• All vehicle occupants must be properly restrained using the
seat belts
• All infants and children must be placed in the rear seat of
the vehicle in a child restraint seat and be properly
restrained by seat belts
• Front airbags can injure occupants improperly positioned in
the front seats
• Even with airbags, improperly belted and un-belted
occupants can be severely injured when the airbag inflates.
Always follow the precautions about seat belts, airbags and
occupant safety contained in this manual
• Do not place items under the front seats. Placing items
under the front seats could interfere with the operation of
the supplemental restraint system sensing components and
wiring harnesses

“ Do not use a rearward facing child restraint on a seat protected
by an airbag in front of it”
In addition, do not place front-facing child restraints in the front
passenger’s seat either. If the front passenger airbag inflates, it
could cause serious or fatal injuries to the child.
