11 Filter changes, unit cleaning
WARNING Risk of injury when working at
heights due to falling slide-in module (3.6 kg).
Sometimes the slide-in module is hard to pull out
of the wall sleeve/slide into the wall sleeve. Use
appropriate, certified climbing aids (ladders). Sta-
bility should be ensured, if necessary have the
ladders steadied by a 2nd person. Ensure that
you are standing securely and cannot lose your
balance and that there is no one under the unit.
When installing and removing the slide-in mod-
ule, support it from below with a hand.
CAUTION Risk of injury from insects
(wasps, bees etc.) in the external cover or
wall sleeve.
Watch out for small animals when removing the
slide-in module. Recommendation: Use units in
continuous operation.
11.1 Filter change indicator

11.3 Changing air filters of PP 45
units
Change the air filters when the filter change
indicator appears (factory setting 6months).
Always replace both air filters on each ventila-
tion unit.
1. Remove front cover by gently pressing up the
locking lever on the bottom of unit and evenly
pulling cover to the front and out. Do not twist
it.
2. Remove plug of motor connection cable.
NOTICE Damage to pull-out belt and filter seat
if pulled jerkily and torn.
Pull slide-in module evenly and carefully out of
wall sleeve. Do not pull jerkily / tear. Replace
pull-out belt if damaged.
3. Use pull-out belt to pull entire slide-in module
out of wall sleeve and put down with care.
Support slide-in module from below with one
hand.
4. Pull the two air filters out of the filter seats.
5. Insert new air filters in the two filter seats. The
filters must be inserted behind the 3brackets
of the filter holder and must be flush.
